Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New YorkDear Parents, In considering a New York independent school for your child, you are facing a wealth of options. Probably no other city in the world has as large a number and as wide a range of independent school opportunities as can be found in New York and its nearby suburbs. For many parents, especially those of you who are new to the city or are considering an independent school for the first time, the number and variety of choices can be daunting and the luxury of choice can bring with it the responsibility for making a particularly "wise" match. This guide has been designed to simplify the admissions process. Each or our member schools has prepared a brief description of its philosophy, population, and program. We have also included Admissions Notifications and Parent Reply Dates, NAIS Principles of Good Practice for Admissions, and notes on the Admissions Process itself to give you a clearer idea of the framework within which you will be working. We all look forward to meeting you. Sincerely, The ISAAGNY Board and Member Schools
